YOTEL and the Social Media Society have joined forces to bring innovative ideas and people together for networking and knowledge sharing at YO! Social.

YO! Social is a monthly series of cocktails and conversation centered on what’s trending in social media.

The evening will begin with an interactive discussion on the social media and digital landscape followed by cocktails and networking.

This month social media influencers, digital innovators and early adopters will convene to discuss Google+ Innovations.

Kari Clark, Product Marketing Manager, Google+

Kari is responsible for marketing Google+ to agencies and large advertisers. Part of the original Google+ team, Kari led the marketing launch of Google+ pages, opening the platform up for businesses. Kari joined Google from Publicis Modem, where she worked as a strategist building out digital programs for General Mills, PayPal, and Citibank.  

Prior to Publicis, Kari worked as a Product Manager at Apple on MobileMe, Apple’s suite of consumer web products, and 5 years in the event production business, designing and leading events for Fortune 500 clients.

Kari holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Columbia University in Visual Arts.

Melanie Hamilton, Senior Sales Lead, Global Social Solutions & Strategy, Google+

For the past 18 months, Melanie has served as Sales Lead for Google's Social Ads efforts, helping to evangelize Google+ both internally and externally. She began her career at NBC Universal where she spent 7 years working for NBC Local Media. She joined the Google TV Ads team in 2008,  transforming the TV industry by seeking platform adoption from top NY advertising agencies. Melanie received her BA from Johns Hopkins University and her MBA from NYU, Stern. She lives in the East Village with her husband and 1 year old son.
